What does it cost?

Free to start — sign in and you get 30 minutes of dictation a month, no card. Invite codes unlock more hours; early users and friends of chaicode get them from us, and you enter one in the app under Account. Paid plans come later, and everyone who joined early will be looked after.

Which Macs work?

Any Mac on macOS 13 Ventura or newer, Apple Silicon or Intel. It asks for microphone and accessibility permission — the second is how it types into your other apps. Setup walks you through both.

Is my voice stored anywhere?

No. Audio streams for transcription and is discarded — never recorded, never kept. We store only how many seconds you dictated, for your plan. It never listens in password fields.

Does it work offline?

No — speech is transcribed by a cloud model, and that's exactly what makes the live, multilingual quality possible. Audio only leaves your Mac while you're holding the key.

Can I use it with a terminal or Claude Code / Cursor?

Yes — it's one of our favourite ways to use it. Hold the key in your terminal or editor and describe what you want; it types straight into the prompt.

What about iPhone and Android?
